Roses’ Transformation
The play Fences by August Wilson is based during a time period where our country was going through some very historical events. The play is based in the year of 1957. During this time our country had not reached the civil rights movement and was still very segregated. Not only was the country segregated, the women of this era were treated very differently. I believe the woman of this era were looked at as property of the man in the relationship. Not only were women treated differently in a relationship, they had different expectations in the home and in the community. Women were expected to stay at home and take care of the home and their children. Although, because this play was based in the late 1950’s the movement to end both of these monumental eras was just beginning. Rose may have been perceived as an overlooked and subtle woman, but by the end of the play it was very evident that she eventually evolves into a much stronger and outspoken person.
Throughout the whole play you could see Rose becoming generally annoyed with Troy and the things that he did. For instance, when Troy would tell stories to Bono, Rose would always be quick to shoot down the exaggerations that Troy would include into his tales. In those moments I could always tell that Rose was almost at her breaking point. I saw Rose as a very strong woman. I think she was very advanced compared to the other women of the 50’s. Even though Rose didn’t always stick up for everything that she probably should have, she defiantly stood her ground more than what other women of that era did. Rose also had many traits similar to the other women. Rose did not have an out of the home job. Rose’s job was to take care of the family and household, which she did extremely well. I believe that Rose’s personality was very apparent from the very beginning. Knowing that Rose had already taken in one child in, that was not her own just should how caring Rose was a woman.

Beast Wars Megatron
In your hand is Beast Wars Megatron. He is a transformer disguised in the form of a T-Rex. He is the leader of the Predacons which is the evil faction in the Beast Wars universe. He is a light purple and green in color. The first step to transforming Megatron is to grab one half of his body with one hand and the other half with your other hand. This step must be completed before you can finish.
It’s an old figure so a little pressure may be needed to move pieces around. The next step is to pull the two halves of his back apart. With one hand grab the exposed mid-section and pull up. Then grab the chest piece located under the head and fold it down. Now grab the tail (which has three pieces) and pull the left and right pieces away from each other and pull the middle piece back. After that is completed pull the tail back until a purple arm piece is exposed.
Now grab the mid-section again and rotate it so that it is facing opposite the folded chest piece. Make sure this piece snaps before you move on. Then grab the head which is located in the middle of the mid-section piece and pull it up making sure it snaps. Now grab the legs and rotate them the same way the head is facing. Once that is completed fold the left arm (originally the tail) back in and snap the three pieces back together. Now pull the right arm (shaped like the T-Rex head and pull it out, extending it to look more like arm.
These simple steps should allow you to transform Megatron from his T-Rex to his robot form. Once completed the figure should stand with no problems. It stands about 7-8 inches tall. The right arm can be used as a water gun if you pull back on the head. To convert him back to T-Rex form, simply follow the steps previously stated in reverse to see him transform back into his disguise.

There are so many nice places on the earth. They are scattered across the country. Every place has its own distinct features. Some places have scenic beauty in abundance while many are famous for their architectural wonders. In addition every person has different tastes, choices and likings. Some enjoy the sight of scenic beauty; some are attracted towards places of religous archaeological interests and like me, may be interested in visiting places of historical importance.I have visited so many places of historical and religic interest. But the most Beautiful Place I have ever been to is my own city. It is the most scenic place I have ever seen. It is said to be the heaven on earth. It has to be the most breathtaking view of my city I have ever seen. I was in awe watching the sunset behind the glowing city. Peace and fresh air right above the busy filled streets below, Limerick city is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, you just need to take a step back and view the bigger picture. it was stressing having to move, being in the comfort of the suburbs and having to move into the chaotic city. As a suburb person, I am adapted to the natural silence of the countryside so moving from there into the heart of a city is such a dramatic change, I still havn’t gotten comfortable with. When your on street level among the crowds of people rushing, shopping and the roars of cars coming from all angles, its hard to appreciate the place you are in, so I like to look from a distance and take in all of what the city has to offer For instance. Pennys Limerick is the cities most popular store by far and I can assume it has over a 1000 shoppers a week, From street level its a normal large store with the real interest for shoppers, being inside. What people don’t notice is the historical Cannocks clocktower which the store is built under. The tower is over centuary old and it is a Limerick landmark, something residents of limerick may not know. I think it…

The Connection

The Connection.. 1
Moments later a woman got out of it. My tired eyes perked up and started taking in every inch of her body that was fast revealing its contours in the shower. She opened the car bonnet and bent down to look inside, then started tinkering away with this and that. Poor bird! Who’d ever been successful in such attempts!
After few more vain attempts she straightened up, exasperated, oblivious of the shoddy state of her dress—the fine pink top now turned into her second skin. But boy, did she look divine! I couldn’t care less anymore and rushed towards her as if in a trance. “Can I be of any help, madam?” So I found myself saying.
She turned up with a start but quickly transformed into a coy damsel in distress. A soft, muslin voice followed after. “Seems this chap won’t budge. And this bonnet is struck too.”
I struggled with the bonnet and finally it banged shut. She thanked me and what with gratitude and what with my wet condition, she offered me a seat in the car, “Do come on in please!
I followed her like a robot.
“Where are you up to?”
“33rd Avenue,” the soft voice replied, “But with this car! Oh I’m sorry if I’ve
troubled you too much.” a smile of the best of guilt smile came out of her lips, “Well, let me introduce myself. I’m Sumi Gupta.”
“I’m Rajesh Bose. My office is in 33rd Avenue.”
“Are you married?” She looked straight into my eyes.
“Yes I’m. She works in Unique Shipping Corporation.”
“Unique Shipping Corporation? Great! What’s her name?”
“Milly Bose”
I noticed a certain change of color in her face. Or maybe I was imagining things.
Was she a bit disappointed about that fact? I asked her bluntly, “Are you married too?” “Oh you’re right.”
“Then your husband must be worrying.”
“Naah. Must be having fun at a party. But why, your wife must be worrying her head off! God has sent you!” She gave a wry smile.
The Connection.. 2
I feigned a smile. No point in telling her that my wife did not even think of me. And who knew…

The intent of this book is for it to be used as a simple and direct guide in a time of great danger.
I pray that this is purely a work of fiction.
If it is not, then I pray for you, the reader of this book.
If I am still alive when the events
foretold in these pages occur, then I hope that you will find me before it is too late.

The Primary Universe is fraught with great peril. War,
plague, famine and natural disaster are common. Death
comes to us all. The Fourth Dimension of Time is a stable construct, though it is not impenetrable. Incidents when the fabric of the Fourth Dimension becomes corrupted are incredibly rare. If a Tangent Universe occurs, it will be highly unstable,
sustaining itself for no longer than several weeks.
Eventually it will collapse upon itself, forming a black hole within the Primary
Universe capable of destroying all existence.
When a Tangent Universe occurs, those living nearest to the Vortex will find themselves at the epicentre of a dangerous new world.
Artefacts provide the first sign that a Tangent Universe has occurred.
If an Artefact occurs, the Living will retrieve it with great
interest and curiosity. Artefacts are formed from metal,
such as an Arrowhead from an ancient Mayan civilization, or a Metal Sword from Medieval Europe. Artefacts returned to the Primary Universe are often linked in religious iconography, as their appearance on Earth seems to defy logical explanation.

Adolescence is the stage between childhood and adulthood. This period in a person’s life plays a major role in the formation of who that person will become. People of all backgrounds, cultures, and every race go through this stage in their life. I would like to display the issues and affects I faced as an African American female adolescent. I will discuss events that I experienced such as, sexuality, drugs, peer pressures, body image, family dynamics, issues of diversity, and how they shaped me into the person I am today. I will also provide theories that support the structure of my paper.Sexuality
Adolescence is a time when young people develop knowledge, attitudes, and skills to become sexually healthy. African American females are viewed differently in terms of being sexual, and this is due to the behavioral outcome of their sexuality. African American adolescent females are at a higher risk for adolescent pregnancy, early sexual experiences, HIV/AIDS (sexually transmitted diseases), and multiple partners, different from their Caucasian and Hispanic counterparts. Growing up in a predominately black community for part of my adolescent years was a traumatic time for me. My parent’s expectations of my sexual behaviors were extremely stern. They instilled values in me that were very different from my peers. A significant event that I experience during my adolescence was witnessing my closest friend’s promiscuous behaviors. My friends were dating earlier then myself, and experienced different sexual encounters such as oral sex and intercourse. These sexual behaviors led to teen pregnancies, abortions, and sexually transmitted diseases. This was such a common issue within the community, but very complex for me to understand. Raising a child when you’re not an adult was always difficult to comprehend. One of my closest friend’s became pregnant at the age of 15. I think I was more devastated the she was, because of my morals…

Slavery in Language

Slave driver shows the painful past this country has seen, and if it has really changedThis country has seen some dark pasts, from war to slavery, they are memories which hurt. Diary entries from a slave driver have been found and released to the public, the graphic entries show the drivers view on his slaves and unveil the pain the slaves went through. One of the most visual and graphic entries would be.
Dec. 31 ran two of Uncle Bat’s Negroes off last night-for making a disturbance – no pass – broke my sword cane over one of their skulls
The vivid imagery really shows the lack of pain this slave driver went through; from most of his entries he shows no sense of sympathy or pain for his slaves and treats them like dogs. I think the photo above can really relate to the diary entries, since the slave driver is shown as all powerful and the salves as weak and not worthy of even a child, even though those childes were most of the time were made with slave drivers and slave owners.
But the most horrifying would probably be his last entry, he talks about how some of the slaves tried to escape and he have him the biggest whipping of his life and taught him a lesson.
Oct. 4 Boy Lewis came in last night -gave him the worst whipping I ever gave any young Negro. I predict he will not runaway soon. Building a jail for him Dennis & Ginny Jerry – intend jailing them for Saturday nights ’til Monday morningsI am going to switch over to modern day slavery and if it has truly changed and what forms it has taken on.
Has slavery really changed all that much in the past couple of centuries? Using the diary of a1800’s slave owner, I will compare how slavery is seen today and how it was seen back in the 18oo’s. And I will discover if slavery has truly been left in the past, or if there are forms of it even today.
Slavery, every time era has had their own views and judgments over the matter. But I will be focusing specifically on two, 1800’s and the early 2000’s….

Googles Success

OMAR ABELLAMGT 501 CASE 2Prof. James HerndonNOV 15 2013
Common sense tells us all businesses want happy and contributing employees. They also would like to have larger profits. Happy employees quantifiably translated into larger profits. A new book by Dr. Noelle Nelson, “Make More Money by Making Your Employees Happy,” explains how they do. “When employees feel that the company takes their interest to heart, then the employees will take company interests to heart,” says Dr. Nelson, a clinical psychologist, best selling author and business trial consultant.
Dr. Nelson cites a study from the Jackson Organization, a survey research consultancy, since acquired by Healthstream, Inc., which shows, “companies that effectively appreciate employee value, enjoy a return on equity & assets more than triple that experienced by firms that don’t. When looking at Fortune’s ’100 Best Companies to Work For’ stock prices rose an average of 14% per year from 1998-2005, compared to 6% for the overall market.”
Many business owners might think that employees need more money to be happy. With 66% of employees expecting raises in 2012, according to a survey by 24 Seven, a recruitment and talent management agency, that would make sense—although perhaps not necessary. What business owners need to do, says Dr. Nelson, “is keep their promises and show compassion for their employees. So if you promised your employees a pay raise, give it to them. If you promised resources to help them be more efficient at their job, give it to them. Find what’s important to your employees and give it to them”.
In our daily personal and professional lives there is a constant evolution of transformation, the same is true in organizations. Technology for instance contributes significantly to an organizations ever increasing need for transformation and organizational restructuring. It is my belief that Google creates jobs…

Gandhi Essay 2012 The Great Soul, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, is amid history’s elite class of freedom fighters. Not only is Gandhi regarded as the father of India, he is revered a worldwide leader. He pioneered mass civil disobedience firmly founded in complete nonviolence. He was a mediocre student, frail, small and shy; there was nothing about Gandhi early in his life which really showed his greatness. Nevertheless, Gandhi for all his frailty in physical appearance had incredible spiritual power. Step by step, he pushed the British Empire back and won independence for India, for which he is forever well-regarded. After his death by assassination, hundreds of people have attempted to preserve his essence in books, audio recordings, and even films. However, a 1982 film directed by Richard Attenborough is among a handful of masterpieces. And so, in roughly 2 hours Attenborough undertakes this behemoth of a task, and surprisingly, does quite a marvelous job. With a few exceptions, his biography on Mahatma Gandhi is enjoyable to watch as it is historically precise. With respect to Rishard’s depiction of historical events, government structure and politics, values and beliefs and the characters, it is safe to say that this motion picture is accurate. Its hard to believe that with Hollywood’s uncanny inclination to alter history, they could produce something which brilliantly conveys the life of such a leader with the respect he deserves. But obviously, this is Hollywood, and undeniably there are indeed inconsistencies between the true life of Gandhi and this 1982 film. This compilation of words is an attempt to bring this film to justice, despite it being an inspirational and exceptional piece.
Gandhi is best known for his role in freeing India from Britain’s colonization. But little do people know about how Gandhi actually came to find his passion. It started off at age 20, his first few years as a lawyer. Gandhi was not doing so well, in fact he was…

WOMEN LIVING UP TO A GODLY REPUTATION EPH 4:6 Father God I thank you for the opportunity to give you thanks for all your many blessing for your grace & mercy that you have given me. I ask LORD now that may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart is pleasing in your sights O LORD, my rock and my redeemer, I think you LORD always.
I want to thank you Friendship for this opportunity to come before you, I ask that you pray with me and for me, and that GOD may be glorified.
Our theme Women living up to a GODLY reputation is taken from Eph 4:6, it tells us how to live up to our reputation. In order to have a GODLY reputation you have to have a Father that teaches you how to love, how to walk worth, He gives to us a love check list, and from that check list, we have to live up to our position, to know that love is patient & kind not envy nor boast not proud, nor rude, self seeking, not easy to anger, keeps no records of wrong doing nor delights in evil but rejoices with the truth. We need to use our spiritual gifts When we accept the gift of GOD’s forgiveness of our sins He places us ‘’IN CHRIST’’ now we have the responsibilities for GODLY behavior that comes with that position. We have to remove the old life. As Christian women we have to live a life that is pleasing to our Father. We have to be devoted to GODs work. What opportunity do we have to obey GOD’s command to love; we show our love for GOD when we love one another, offering a gracious kind word to someone who you might think is difficult to love.
A reputation is what men say about you, but character is what the angles say about you before the throne of GOD, because He knows who you are. Through all spiritual wisdom & understanding we must live a pleasing life worth of the LORD. A GODLY life is worth the struggle, it’s not just a name & a way of life, it takes works, are we willing to keep coming back to GOD for help in getting the…
